How to Create an Enemy in Counter Strike 1.6

"Counter-Strike" is a first-person shooter for the PC that is exclusively a multiplayer only game. By default, the game does not have AI programming, so you cannot battle against enemy computers, even with the game's final patch (1.6). If you really want to add computers to your copy of the game, however, you can download a player-created mod for free that allows you to add new enemies to any match you have created.

Download the "Z-Bot" mod for "Counter-Strike" version 1.6. The mod is available for free on several file hosting sites, such as Game Front, File Planet and Icy Hell.

    • 2

Extract the contents of the folder into the "Counter-Strike" folder, which is located in your "Steam" folder, with a file extraction program. Click "Yes" to any files that have to be overwritten.

    • 3

Start "Counter-Strike" by opening the game from Steam, clicking the desktop icon or inserting the game's disc. The game will boot to its main menu.

    • 4

Click on "Find Match" to open the game's multiplayer hub.

    • 5

Click "Create Match." A new window will appear that allows you to set the preferences for your match. Choose any preferences you have, such as adding a password to the server.

    • 6

Click "Create" at the bottom-right of the screen to begin the match.

    • 7

Press the tilda key (~) to bring up the game's console.

    • 8

Type "bot_add_team" without the quotation marks to instantly create an enemy computer for both sides. To create a bot for a specific team, replace "team" with "t" or "ct" for Terrorists or Counter-Terrorists, respectively.
