How to Make Ripped Jeans for Sims 2

"The Sims 2" arrives packaged with a separate program, "Body Shop," which lets players create and import custom Sims and clothing. Those eager to adorn their Sims in grunge fashion can download Sims wearing ripped jeans from "The Sims 2" Website Exchange. Players with a flair for design can undertake the task themselves, crafting ripped jeans through the Body Shop.

Instructions

    • 1

Open "Body Shop." Open a graphics-editing program. In Body Shop, select "Create Parts" from the top right of the screen. Click "Start New Project" and "Create Clothing." Images of clothing will appear. A horizontal menu of icons rests above the images. Hover your mouse over these icons until you see "Everyday." Select it.

    • 2

Select the icon depicting pants in the horizontal menu. Images of pants will now appear. Use the arrows to the left and right of the images of pants to navigate to a pair you would like to use as your template. Click on your chosen template.

    • 3

Click on "Export Selected Textures" at the bottom of Body Shop. Rename the file and accept it. In your graphics editing program, browse your project files by opening the EA Games folder. Next, select "Body Shop" and "Projects." You will see four different files depicting the name of your project.

    • 4

Open the project file which bears the word "texture" but does not include the word "alpha." The outline of your template of jeans will appear. Color these pants as desired. Leaving blank spots on the texture file will not make ripped jeans. It merely leaves the color used on the original template. Save your work.

    • 5

Open the "alpha" file in the graphics editing program. Select the eraser. Use the eraser on the white part of the image, not just at the edges, to create ripped jeans. Save your work. Select "Refresh Preview Sim" in Body Shop to see your progress.

Click on "Import Selected Textures" at the bottom of the Body Shop screen to import your custom ripped jeans into "The Sims 2."
