How to Create an Attractive Dwarf in Dragon Age

"Dragon Age: Origins" is a fantasy roleplaying game for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. At the beginning of the game, players create a custom character, choosing from dozens of facial styles. The player can also choose between three races, including humans, elves and dwarves. Of these, the dwarves are the least conventionally attractive. With bulbous noses and prominent brow ridges, their default face sets harken back to the Neanderthal. If players are dissatisfied with the pre-existing options, they can install Orgolove's "Beautiful Female Dwarf Face Presets" mod. The player can then create a new dwarven character with gentler features.

  Download "Beautiful Female Dwarf Face Presets" from the website Dragon Age Nexus. If you do not already have an account with the site, you must first register. Click the "Register" link near the top of the page.

  Unzip the mod package. If you do not have unzipping software, you can download and install "7-Zip" free-of-charge. "WinRar" provides similar services with a free 30-day trial.

  Open "My Computer" and navigate to "\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override." This is the "Dragon Age" override folder, which is different from the installation folder. Mods you place in this folder automatically override game defaults.

  Drag and drop the contents of "Beautiful Female Dwarf Face Presets" into the override folder.

  Start "Dragon Age" and begin a new game. Create a dwarf character. Shuffle through the face presets until you get one you find attractive.
