How to Install Eclipse Mod for HL2

"Eclipse" is a mod for "Half-Life 2" (HL2) that provides a completely different game from an unmodded HL2. Using the Source gaming engine that powers HL2, you can play "Eclipse," a separate game in which you are a girl blessed with the gift of telekinesis. You also gain additional abilities as you progress in the game. As this is an unofficial game mod, you can't simply download it using Steam as you would an official game or mod.

Instructions

  Left-click the "Eclipse" file. It downloads as a ZIP file so extract the files using the Unzip command.

  Click "Start," then type "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps" in the box at the bottom of the menu, and press Enter. This opens a window for Steamapps.

  Click and drag all the files you extracted from the "Eclipse" folder into the "Sourcemods" folder inside the Steamapps window. Close all folders and windows.

  Restart Steam. "Eclipse" will launch.
