How to Get Infinite TNT in Minecraft Alpha

"Minecraft" is an independent, three-dimensional sandbox building PC game developed by Markus "Notch" Persson. "Minecraft" completed its Alpha phase in May 2009 and is currently in Beta. In "Minecraft," players gather resources, craft items and combat enemy mobs. TNT is a valuable item that players can craft from gunpowder, a rare resource that can be looted from defeated enemies. Multi-player server operators can use the "/give" command to create a limitless supply of TNT.

Instructions

    • 1

Press "T" on your keyboard while logged in to a multi-player "Minecraft" server to open the command console.

    • 2

Use the "/give" command to give your character a specified amount of TNT. The syntax for the "/give" command is "/give playername datavalue quantity," where "playername" is your "Minecraft" user name, "datavalue" is the identification number assigned to the item and quantity is a number that expresses how many of the item you will receive. The item identification number for TNT is 46. For example, inputting "/give Player1 46 100" would give the user "Player1" 100 blocks of TNT.

    • 3

Press "Enter" to spawn the specified quantity of TNT. The items will appear on the ground immediately in front of your character. Walk over the TNT to pick it up. You will only be able to pick up as many TNT blocks as you have open spaces in your inventory. You can repeat the "/give" command at any time to provide your character with additional blocks.
