How to Install The Sims 2: Seasons on a Laptop

From Electronic Arts, developers of "The Sims" and "The Sims 2," comes an expansion pack "The Sims 2: Seasons," which allows players to control and maintain the daily lives of virtual characters known as Sims. "The Sims 2: Seasons" expansion pack introduce new themes, objects and gameplay options that are an addition to "The Sims 2." With the original core game "The Sims 2" installed, you can install "The Sims 2: Seasons" expansion pack in less than ten minutes.

Instructions

  Insert the "Sims 2: Seasons" game disc into your laptop's CD/DVD tray. Wait for your laptop to recognize and launch the setup menu. If the game setup does not appear automatically, click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and double-click the disc icon in the "My Computer" browser window.

  Click the "Install" option from the installation menu. On the next page you will be prompted to enter a 20-character product key.

  Enter the 20-character product key, which can be found on the back, outside cover of the game disc. Click the "Next" button to continue with the installation.

  Choose a directory where you want to install the "Sims 2: Seasons" files. If you choose the option "Typical User," the directory files for the game will be saved on your "C" drive. Click "Next" to continue.

  Click the "Register Now" or "Register Later" button on the registration page that will appear. By registering with Electronic Arts, developers of the "Sims 2" games, you will receive news, E-mails and special offers regarding Electronic Arts products. You do not have to register to play the game.

  Press the "Continue" button to begin the installation. A progress bar will appear, which will allow you to track the files that are being installed and estimated installation time. Once the progress bar reaches 100 percent, your installation will be complete.
