How to Angle Objects in The Sims 2

One of the features of "The Sims 2" is building and decorating homes where Sims reside. You can manipulate objects such as furniture, wall art and electrical fixtures and place them where you like. By default, all objects can rotate only in 90-degree increments. If you design a cozy alcove, however, you might want a pair of chairs positioned at 45-degree angles instead. A special cheat code allows you to do this while in the game's "Buy Mode" area.

Instructions

    • 1

Start "The Sims 2" and enter the household where you want to angle objects.

    • 2

Press and hold the "Shift," "Ctrl" and "C" keys together to bring up a command line where you can enter a cheat code.

    • 3

Type at the prompt, without quotes, "boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true" and press the "Enter" key. Type "Exit" to remove the prompt from the screen.

    • 4

Click the "Buy Mode" button on the game control panel.

    • 5

Click the object you want to angle. A green box appears around it to show it's selected.

    • 6

Press the "<" and ">" keys next to the "M" on the keyboard to rotate the object clockwise or counter-clockwise. With the cheat code on, the object rotates in 45-degree increments instead of 90-degree increments.

    • 7

Click the "Live Mode" button to return to playing the game.
