How to Get Married & Have Kids on Sims 1 for PS3

The Sims 1 is the first in a series of simulation games that allow players to control the daily lives' of their Sims. The game was first released in 2000 and has since spawned two sequels and multiple game expansions. Two of the most common activities in The Sims are getting married and having children, although the player must complete numerous steps to accomplish these goals. The steps to get married and have children are the same whether you are playing the game on a computer or on a PlayStation 3.

Relationship with one other Sim

  Create one Sim, either a male or a female, to start the game. Form a relationship with a Sim of the opposite sex.

  Interact with Sims through activities such as dancing, sports or other games. Invite friends over often and talk during dinner to increase the relationship score.

  Select the Sim with whom the original Sim is trying to form a relationship. Select the "Chat" or "Talk" options to improve the relationship score. Select other options as the relationship improves such as hugging, joking or playing games.

  Ask the Sim to "Move In" after the relationship has reached the Love status. Work on building the relationship through actions such as "Kiss," "Holding Hands" and other romantic gestures.

  Propose an engagement to the Sim after the relationship has developed. Work on improving the relationship even more with the chat and joke options and with the romantic options of kissing and hugging. Select the "Get Married" option and if the relationship is good, the other Sim will accept.

  Improve the married Sims relationship through hugging and kissing to be considered a passionate couple. Select the "Have a Baby" option after the relationship meter has reached a necessary level. Name the child once it arrives.

  Wait for the option to call an adoption agency, which will be triggered at some point during the game play. Adopt a child using the phone.
