How to Get Rid of Ghosts in Sims 2

In "The Sims 2," when a Sim dies, it can become a ghost on the property where it previously lived. Ghosts appear on lots where their tombstone rests. If you remove the tombstone, the ghost goes with it. Some ghosts are benign and merely float around causing little disturbance. Other ghosts, especially those feeling anger toward a Sim living in the house, such as a spouse with a new love interest or a Sim who kicked the gravestone, can break objects or make messes on the floor for your Sim to clean up.

  Start "The Sims 2" and select the neighborhood that contains the household with the problem ghost.

  Click the icon for the house on the neighborhood map to enter the household.

  Wait until daytime. Ghosts appear after 8 pm, and you can't remove their graves while they are out haunting.

  Click the "Buy Mode" button to enter the area where you purchase items for your Sim's home.

  Click the tombstone object on your Sim's lot and press the "Delete" key. This will remove the grave from the game and remove the ghost as well.
