How Do I Become a Better Archer in Oblivion?

In "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," a role-playing game (RPG) developed by Bethesda Studios, a player must battle with sword, bow, or magic to survive. For a character whose main weapon is a bow, the skill "Marksman" is of great importance. Increasing the marksman skill not only increases the amount of damage caused by arrows, but it also grants your character special ranged attacks. Becoming a better archer in "Oblivion" can be done through smart use of your bow.

  Press and hold the left-mouse button with the bow equipped to draw an arrow, then release it to fire. The longer you hold down the mouse button, the farther the arrow will fly.

  Approach an enemy while in sneak mode, and fire upon him while you are in "Undetected" status. This will cause a critical hit, and can drastically improve the chance of surviving the fight.

  Run in wide circles and fire at the enemy on the move. This will make it much harder for the enemy to hit you.

  Level up the "Marksman" skill by using your bow against enemies. Every time that you fire the bow at a living creature, there is a chance that the skill will increase. The higher the "Marksman" skill is, the more damage you will do with your bow.
