How to Make My Mouse Visible When Playing Dragon Age Orgins

With the "Dragon Age: Origins" user interface depending heavily on mouse clicks and cursor control, an inability to see it leaves you practically unable to play the game. Electronic Arts warns that players may experience this glitch after updating their game with patches, ironically designed to solve issues, not create new ones. The problem lies in the Control Panel options you have set for your mouse, so you'll find the solution in your mouse's Properties window, not in any of the game's menus or options.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Start" orb from your desktop with "Dragon Age: Origins" closed. Click "Control Panel" and "Hardware and Sound."

    • 2

Click "Mouse," located under the green Devices and Printers heading. Choose the "Pointer Options" tab.

    • 3

Uncheck the box next to "Display pointer trails" under the "Visibility" heading. Click "Apply," "OK" then exit out of the Control Panel. Launch "Dragon Age: Origins" as you normally do; you should now see your cursor in-game.
