How to Charge the Lightning Ring in Star Ocean: The Last Hope

The "Lightning Ring" -- also called the "Thunder Ring -- is a special item in the 2009 Xbox 360 role-playing game "Star Ocean: The Last Hope." Players acquire the ring on the first floor of the Cardianon Mothership and must use it to progress through the ship's interior. The ring has the ability to short circuit plasma panels that control the doors, but after a few uses you will need to recharge it again. This is easily done using the same panels that were previously fried.

Instructions

  Return to any of the plasma panels that you previously used the ring on before it ran out of charges. The panels are the electronic devices in front of some doors. You will see that there is an electric current running through them as indicated by the blue sparks. There is a plasma panel just outside the stasis room in the basement 2 area of the mothership.

  Stand in front of the plasma and press the "A" button to examine it. A message will appear on the screen saying "Charged the thunder ring from the plasma."

  Repeat the process until you get a message stating "The thunder ring is already fully charged." Return to a plasma panel and charge the ring again every time its charges are depleted.
