Instructions
Close any unnecessary background programs. While it is unlikely, some background programs can take up many of a computer's resources, to the point that the client will freeze when getting to a large part of the installation.
Compare the game's system requirement with your computer's hardware. If the game does not meet the intended system requirements, it cannot run and sometimes will not even be able to complete the installation process, particularly if it tries to install Direct X. If it does not meet the system requirements of the game, consider purchasing new equipment for your computer.
Update the firmware for your video card and motherboard. Hardware manufacturers will often release updates in the form of firmware that increases your products' strength and efficiency. These updates are free to download and are typically available from the website of the hardware manufacturer.
Repair the game's disc if there are any visible scratches or purchase a set of discs altogether. Damaged or corrupt discs will commonly fail during the install process when the information is being extracted from it.
