How to Authenticate RollerCoaster Tycoon 3

When you first open up your installation disc for the PC game "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3," you may notice a multi-digit number printed on a sticker on the game's case. This is your serial number and it is unique to the copy of the game you purchased. It is used by the "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" installation utility to authenticate your copy, proving that you legally purchased it and didn't download it illegally from the Internet.

  Insert your "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" game disc into your computer.

  Click "Start." Open the icon labeled "Computer."

  Double-click the "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" installation file. The game's launcher will appear on screen. Click "Install."

  Click "Next." Proceed through the installation utility. Type the serial key for your copy of "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" into the box on screen. This key is printed on the case the game came in. The key is case sensitive, so make sure that all letters are in the proper case and that you type the key in the order it appears on the printed paper.

  Click "Next" until the "Finish" button appears. Click "Finish." The launcher will install "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" onto your computer. Because you typed in the serial key, the game will be properly authenticated and you can play immediately.
