How to Make a Character in Fallout Tactics

"Fallout Tactics" is a squad-based strategy game produced by Interplay for the PC. Players create a character who acts as the player's avatar during gameplay. The player can alter and assign points to various stats and further customize the character during the creation process. In addition, the player may choose a character name and change the character's appearance. The character cannot be changed once created.

Instructions

  Launch a new game of "Fallout Tactics."

  Click the "Create" button on the character creation screen.

  Assign or subtract points to the character's statistic scores by clicking the "+" or "-" buttons located next to the score.

  Click the arrows located underneath the character portrait to choose a new portrait.

  Click the button next to "Hair," "Skin," or "Other" to change the color of your hair, skin and clothes.

  Click one of the listed traits in the "Optional Traits" section of the character selection screen to assign that trait to your character. Many traits have a minimum stat requirement that must be met before choosing the trait. Click a trait to view a description of the trait's effect and the minimum requirements to choose it.

  Click three skills in the "Skills" section of the character creator to tag those skills. Tagging a skill adds bonus points to the skill, improving its effectiveness. You may be able to tag more than three skills depending on your trait choices.

  Click "Name" to change the character's name.

  Click "Age" to change the character's age.

  Click "Done" to create the character.
