How to Install Akuji the Demon

Akuji the Demon is a freeware 2D Japanese platform game reminiscent of a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) title. The game follows Akuji, a vampire who was locked away for centuries but found a way to escape and is now out to seek revenge against the hero that confined him. The game is downloadable from a number of sources, all of which are free. While the game does need extracted, it will not be permanently installed on your machine.

  Download the Akuji the Demon installation file if it is not already present on your computer. There are many sources available for the game including Pixel Art Games, Old Games and Freehare. Once you have located a download source, look for a "Download" button. Click the button and save the installation to a folder of your choice.

  Unpackage the game. The game is usually downloaded in the .zip format, so you will need to either use Window's built-in zip extractor tool or WinZip. To use the built-in tool, right click on the file and select "Extract All." To unpackage the game using WinZip, double-click the file. When the WinZip window pops up, click the "Unzip" button. Select adestination for the files and click the "Extract" button.

  Open the Akuji the Demon folder. Double-click on the "akuji.exe" file to begin playing the game.
