How to Rename a Baby Toddler on The Sims 2

"The Sims 2" lets players customize Sim characters, families, houses and entire lives. Players can name their Sims anything they want, but unless they use the game's cheat system, it's not possible to change a name once they've chosen it. The "renaming" cheat is particularly helpful for players who accidentally click away the name screen that appears when a baby is born, and end up with a baby named "Baby Boy" or "Baby Girl."

Instructions

    • 1

Press "Control+Shift+C" while in "Live" mode. In the text box, enter "Boolprop TestingCheatsEnabled True." Press "Shift + Left Click" on any Sim.

    • 2

Click "Spawn" followed by "Tombstone of Life and Death." Shift and left click the baby, then click "Makes Selectable." Toddlers are already clickable and don't need to be made selectable.

    • 3

Click the Tombstone of Life and Death and click "Rename Sim," then type in the new name. Left click and press "Shift" again to make the baby unselectable.

    • 4

Exit out of the cheat system by typing "Boolprop TestingCheatsEnabled False." Click the "Options" button, then click "Save" to save the changes.
