How Do I Get Refining Gems in Tales of Pirates?

"Tales of Pirates" is an MMORPG, an online role-playing game, that tells the story of four sea-faring adventurers. Players participate in the gamut of RPG elements including exploration, character development, battle, questing and winning or finding prizes. While refined gems --- weapon enhancements that instill statistical bonuses --- can be bought from other players, the price is often far too steep. Instead, it behooves gamers to find refined gems themselves.

  Wait for the "Tales of Pirates" server to report to all logged-on users that a dungeon has opened and is accessible. Each of the three dungeons re-open on three-hour intervals.

  Travel to a dungeon's entrance portal. Forsaken City's portal opens at the map coordinates "1509, 3666," Dark Swamp's portal opens at "2037, 2779" and Demonic World's entrance can be found at "910, 1069."

  Battle the monsters you encounter during the course of navigating the dungeon. Dungeon monsters are far more powerful within their level range than normal enemies, so they drop better prizes after being defeated. Refined gems are occasionally found on these monsters.
