The Sims 2 is a virtual life computer game developed by Maxis. Players must lead their Sims, or simulated characters, through the tasks and challenges of daily life. The health and well being of Sims is dependent upon the player's commitment to ensure their needs are met. Sims must receive food, social interaction, love, exercise, entertainment and education. It may prove difficult to meet the needs of all Sims in a household; and there might come a time when a player wishes to slow down time and extend a day. Fortunately, players can use cheat codes to get longer days in The Sims 2.

Press and hold the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" keys simultaneously on your keyboard.

Type "slowmotion" into the text box with a value of 0 to 8 to set the speed of the game. Zero is the fastest setting; the higher the number, the slower the game. Choose a higher value to increase the length of a day.

Press and hold the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" keys to change the "slowmotion" value and speed up the game.
