How to Get Weeds in Sims 3

Just as in real life, weeds are a constant annoyance in the game "The Sims 3" for the personal computer. Weeds crop up in your yard and garden and can prevent certain types of plant life from growing properly. If you're the type of person that wants to add weeds around your home in the game, you can encourage their growth by performing a few specific tasks.

  Fire any gardeners and grounds keepers you may have hired. Use the telephone in the Sim's home to call up any outside help that you have hired previously in the game. Tell all gardeners and grounds keepers that their services will no longer be required.

  Stop performing yard work with your Sim. Occasionally, your Sim may try to go outside and tidy up on his own. In the event that this happens, click the "Cancel" option to cancel the current command. Send your Sim inside to watch television or go to sleep. The longer the yard is left unkempt, the more likely it is for weeds to grow.

  Empty the garbage from the inside of your house out into the yard. Periodically, your Sim will take out the trash in rooms like the kitchen or living room. When this happens, direct your Sim to leave the trash bags lying around the yard. This will encourage the growth of weeds throughout the yard.
