How to Get the Shape Shop Game for Leapster 2

"Leapster 2" is a hand-held, educational computer game player designed for preschool-age children. It has won awards from many organizations, including a Parents Choice Silver Honors award and the Seal of Approval from the National Parenting Center. Each of the four preloaded games helps children learn either basic reading, math, art and design or shapes. The "Shape Shop" game is only available as one of the preloaded games. You cannot buy the game separately.

  Navigate to Leapfrog.com. Enter "Leapster 2" into the search box at the upper right side of the page. Open the dropdown menu next to the search text box and click "Leapster." Click on the "Go" button.

  Read the information provided on the "Leapster 2" website, if desired. Select a color by clicking on either the green-and-blue icon or the pink-and-purple icon toward the middle of the page. Notice the price to the right of these icons. In the small box next to the word "Quantity," enter the number of Leapsters you want to purchase. Click "Add to Cart." Complete the checkout process as instructed by the website.

  Navigate to eBay.com or your favorite auction website. Enter "Leapster2" or "Leapster 2" into the search box on the home page. Click "Search." Arrange the page layout you prefer by clicking on the icons next to the "View as" text. Select the number of items you want per page. Sort the order of the results by clicking on the dropdown menu on the left side of the page next to the text "Sort by."

  Scan the search results for a new or used "Leapster 2." Once you locate it, check the seller's feedback in the left-side bar. Place your bid by entering it into the gray box next to the text that says "Your max bid." Click "Place bid." If you have the winning bid, the auction site will contact you with payment details. Some items in the search results may have a "Buy-it-now" option that allows you to purchase the game instantly. To use this option, click on the "Buy-it-now" button and follow the prompts to make your payment.

  Watch the classified ads, in print or online, for "Leapster 2" consoles. This item may also be available in yard sales, thrift shops or online classified boards like Craigslist.
