How to Move Your Sims for Posing

Making movies and taking screen shots on The Sims 2 can be a fun hobby, but getting the Sims into position for a good shot is complicated. This is especially true if there are multiple Sims involved because Sims characters often have their own ideas about what they want to do and where they want to be. So, keeping them all in one place, doing specific things, is like trying to herd cats. Using the "moveObjects" cheat from Cheat Code Central eliminates many of these problems.

Instructions

    • 1

Start the Sims 2 game. Click on the desired town. Click on the desired Sim's house.

    • 2

Cancel or allow actions to finish for all the Sims you want involved in the screen shot or movie clip. Then pause the game.

    • 3

Press "Ctrl-Shift-C" to bring up the console window. Type "moveObjects on" in the window. Press "Enter."

    • 4

Click "Buy Mode." The button looks like a silhouette of a chair with a floor lamp.

    • 5

Click on the desired Sim and drag him or her to the desired location. Use the period and comma keys to rotate the Sim if needed. Repeat this step for each Sim you want involved in the screen shot or movie clip.

    • 6

Click "Live Mode." Direct the Sim/s to perform the desired actions.

    • 7

Click the play button. Then click the video camera icon to make a movie clip or the 35 mm camera icon to take a screen shot.

    • 8

Type "moveObjects off" in the console window to turn the cheat off when you are finished.
