How Do I Get an Old Sim on the Sims 2 to Die Faster?

"The Sims 2" brought the concept of aging to the computer gaming franchise. A Sim that starts out as a young adult, for example, will eventually age over the course of the game into first an adult and then into a member of the elderly community. Elderly Sims will eventually die of old age. If you want to get an old Sim in "The Sims 2" to die faster than normal, there are a few things you can do to help shuffle them off of the mortal coil.

Click the "Stop" button whenever your older Sim attempts to sleep. Preventing an older Sim from getting the required amount of sleep will decrease their overall health, making it more likely for them to die. Every so often your Sim will collapse from exhaustion and fall to the floor -- this is unavoidable. Some of the Sim's energy will recover during this time, but the change of death will still be increased.

Press the "Stop" command every time your Sim tries to eat. As in real life, a Sim requires food to live. Food provides a Sim with energy and keeps their health at a stable level. Stopping your Sim from eating will decrease his or her energy and decrease the overall level of health of that Sim. This also increases the chance of death.

Play the game on "Fast" speed. Press the "Fast" button in the game's "Settings" toolbar to increase the game speed to the fastest possible setting. While this does not get the older Sim to die faster within the time-frame of the game, this does get the Sim to die faster in the context of real life. From the player's perspective, the older Sim will die much faster than if the game was played on a normal speed.
