How to Use a Diablo II Horadric Cube

Awarded in Act 2 in "Diablo 2", the Horadric Cube serves as extra storage and as a means to transmute items. While you can store your items in the Horadric Cube, the item makes a much larger impact in the game by allowing you to transmute a group of items into an entirely different item. Using the Horadric Cube is as simple as placing the transmutable items inside and clicking "Transmute."

Instructions

  Right-click the Horadric Cube to open it. Unless you placed the Cube in your bank, it will appear in your inventory, which you can access by pressing "I" on your keyboard.

  Place items that will result in a successful transmutation into the Cube by clicking the item and clicking the empty space inside the Horadric Cube. For example, three gems of the same type will transmute into a gem of higher quality.   Click "Transmute" in the Horadric Cube window. If the contents inside the Cube are transmutable, a new item will appear.
