How to Catch a Tragic Clown Fish in The Sims 3

For the first time in the game series, your characters in "The Sims 3" can take up fishing, either as a hobby or a way to make money. Although several real species of fish are available in the game, some fish such as the Tragic Clown Fish are imaginary. When your Sim catches a Tragic Clown Fish he can sell it for money, display it in a home aquarium or use it in a recipe such as sushi.

Instructions

- 1
  Raise your Sim's fishing level to level 3 to unlock the ability to select your own bait. Your Sim's fishing level is raised any time he fishes or by reading books on fishing from the bookstore or library.

  Place a watermelon in your Sim's inventory. Watermelon is purchased at the grocery store or grown in your Sim's garden.

  Travel to a location where the Tragic Clown Fish is found. Tragic Clown Fish only exist in salt water fishing locations such as the beach shore or a fish hatchery.

  Click on the water source to bring up your Sim's fishing menu.

  Select the 'Bait' option and bait the hook with Watermelon to catch a Tragic Clown Fish. Your Sim will need an additional piece each time he wants to catch a Tragic Clown Fish. Once the line has been baited your Sim will automatically begin fishing and eventually catch a Tragic Clown Fish.
