How to Make the Attendant in TF2

The Attendant is a community-created hat for the Pyro class in the Windows and Mac versions of "Team Fortress 2." Players can acquire the Attendant in a variety of ways, including as a random drop during gameplay, as a random item received when openingcrates, as a purchase from the Mann-Co Store and as a craftable item. The Attendant is part of an item set and will increase your movement speed by 10 percent and decrease your bullet resistance by 10 percent when equipped with the Degreaser and Powerjack weapons.

  Acquire a Powerjack or Degreaser weapon and four pieces of refined metal. You will randomly receive weapons while playing TF2 and can craft two weapons from the same class together to produce one piece of scrap metal. You can craft three pieces of scrap metal to produce one piece of reclaimed metal and three pieces of reclaimed metal to produce one refined metal.

  Click the "Manage Items" button in the main "Team Fortress 2" menu and then click the "Crafting" button. Click the left and right arrow buttons below the inventory section of the crafting screen to view different pages of your inventory. Click on items in your inventory with the left mouse button and drag items from your inventory to the Crafting Area space in the upper-right corner of the screen. If you have four pieces of refined metal, place a Degreaser or Powerjack and four pieces of refined metal in the crafting area space and skip to Step 5. If you do not have four pieces of refined metal but have 36 pairs of weapons from the same class, continue to Steps 3 and 4.

  Click and drag two weapons from the same class to the crafting area. Click the "Craft it!" button, and the two weapons will be broken down to one piece of scrap metal. Break down all weapon pairs until you have 36 pieces of scrap metal.

  Place three pieces of scrap metal in the Crafting Area and click the "Craft it!" button to produce one piece of reclaimed metal. Convert all scrap metal to reclaimed metal and then place three pieces of scrap metal in the Crafting Area. Click the "Craft it!" button to produce one piece of refined metal. Convert all reclaimed metal to refined metal and place a Degreaser or Powerjack and four pieces of refined metal in the Crafting Area.

  Click the "Craft it!" button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You will combine the weapon and the four pieces of refined metal and create the Attendant.
