How to Install Dungeon Siege

The first game in the "Dungeon Siege" series of games was a third-person role-playing game developed and produced by Microsoft Games Studio. The game itself spawned several sequels and was even made into a movie. Although the movie was critically panned, the games have remained popular among fans of the series. Of course, before you can go back and play the original "Dungeon Siege," you will have to install it on your computer first.

Things You'll Need

  • "Dungeon Siege" install disc
  • Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP
  • PC with 333 MHz equivalent or higher processor
  • 128 MB of system RAM
  • 1 GB available hard disk space
  • 4x speed or faster CD-ROM drive
  • 8 MB 3D graphics card
  • Sound card, speakers or headphones required for audio
  • Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Instructions

      Insert the "Dungeon Siege" install disk into your computer's CD drive. An auto-run dialog box will appear after a few seconds.

      Click the "Install" option in the dialog box. This will start the Installer wizard.

      Click the "Install" button in the installer window.

      Click the "Change" button and specify where on your hard drive you want "Dungeon Siege" installed. Click "OK," then click the "Install" button again. This will start the automated installation process. You will be notified once the process has finished.
