How to Make Real-Life Celebrities in Sims 3

The customization tools in "The Sims 3" allow players to plan every little detail of their Sim characters -- from the way they look to their personality. With such an array of tools at their disposal, many players enjoy creating Sims that bear a likeness to famous celebrities. Creating a Sim based on a famous person allows you to imgaine what would happen if your favorite celebrities lived next door, became your best friend or started a family with another famous person.

  Start a new family by entering Create-a-Sim mode on the main menu screen and begin with your famous Sim's basic stats like name, age, gender, skin tone and build.

  Alter the appearance of your new Sim using the customization tools in Create-a-Sim mode. It helps to have a picture of the celebrity you want to imitate so that you can compare your results. Study the details of the celebrity's face and try to match the shape of their features to the picture.

  Select outfits for your famous Sim to wear. Each Sim has different outfits for home, sleep, swimming, working out and formal events. Choose an outfit that matches the style of the celebrity you wish to base your Sim upon. The game's customization tools allow you to pick the color and type of material for any clothing item, allowing you to tweak outfits so that they look like the real outfits worn by the famous figure that your Sim is based upon.

  Select personality traits for your Sim that matches those of the celebrity you are impersonating. For example, Sims based on famous athletes should take the "Athletic" trait.

  Save your Sim and move him into an open lot to begin a new game with your celebrity Sim.
