How to Make Your Baby Grow Faster in The Sims 3

In the game "The Sims 3," Sim characters age from a baby through to a senior. Each stage lasts for a specific amount of time. However, sometimes you want to fast track your Sim's age so you can move ahead to the next stage of life. This is especially true for the baby stage, in which the baby doesn't do much and requires a lot more work than any at other stage. There are two ways in which you can age a baby Sim faster.

Instructions

Birthday Cake

  Go into buy mode and buy a birthday cake.

  Set the birthday cake on any surface, such as a table or the counter.

  Select an adult in the house and click on the birthday cake. Click "Blow Out Candles" and then a menu of Sims who are eligible for aging will appear. Click on the baby you want to age.

  Watch as the adult Sim picks up the baby and carries it over to the cake to blow out the candles. The baby will instantly age to a toddler.
Cheat

  Enter "Ctrl+Shift+C" to bring up the cheat box.

  Type in "testingcheatsenabled true" into the cheat box.

  Hold down the "Shift" key and click on the baby Sim you want to age. A menu of options will appear; click on "Trigger Age Transition." The baby will instantly age into a toddler.
