How to Improve K/D Ratio on Counter-Strike

Although your skill as a player depends on more than your statistical data, strangers of the "Counter-Strike" game can only determine your ability by your ranking "Kill / Death Ratio" (K/D). Your K/D is the amount of times you have managed to kill someone while limiting the number of deaths. For example, a K/D ratio of one means you have died once for every time you have killed an opponent. The higher your K/D ratio is, the more kills you have as oppose to deaths. In order to improve your K/D ratio in "Counter-strike" you must improve your overall skill.

Instructions

    • 1

Familiarize yourself with the Counter Strike maps, such as locating spawning points, good ambush areas and where the most intense battles are likely to occur. With these pieces of information, you can formulate an attack strategy and be one step ahead of the opponent. By knowing the map, you can also stay away from open areas where you are most vulnerable to attacks.

    • 2

Improve your aiming ability with each Counter Strike weapon. Since each weapon has a specific fire rate, damage and amount of recoil, you will need to get accustomed to the characteristics of each weapon to obtain more kills. To avoid recoil, and improve accuracy, shoot in short burst by pressing and releasing the "fire" button. If you need to hold down the "fire" button to perform rapid firing, start your aim lower since the tendency for the weapon is to pull upwards.

    • 3

Crouch low and stand still. While you are reloading your weapon or looking for the enemy, staying low and standing will draw less attention to the enemy as oppose to moving. You can also shoot your weapon while crouching, which will stabilize your weapon making it more accurate to obtain more kills.

Glance at the radar map from time to time. You will be able to see your teammates on the radar map. Head slowly and cautiously towards an area with your teammates. Staying together and communicating will allow you to take out the enemy and stay alive. For example, while one teammate is opening the door, the other teammates could be scanning the area for potential enemy threats.
