Instructions
Wait until you establish a food source before you assign a village chief or make babies. Neither the chief nor nursing mothers work, so you will have less help around the island. This can mean the difference between life and death for your tribe.
Establish a food source before completing any other tasks. To gain access to the honey inside the beehive, drop a villager onto the pile of sticks between the beehive and fire. The villager will light a torch and use the smoke to calm the bees.
Watch for sick villagers. Check on a villager's health status by opening the character menu. If the villager is sick, the word "sick" will appear above his name. Also, sick characters sneeze when you pick them up.
Heal sick villagers by dropping a healthy villager on top of the sick villager. The healthy villager will gain "Healing" skill.
Train several healers. Select at least two villagers to train. Open the character menu, scroll to your desired villager and place a check mark next to the "Healing" skill bar. These villagers will automatically heal any sick villagers. Training two healers ensures that your healers will cure each other.
