How to Connect to Your World of Warcraft Account

World of Warcraft is an online role playing game that connects millions of gamers to a virtual world. But before you slay your first dragon, you'll have to traverse the perils of logging into the game. User agreements, log-in names and passwords stand in your way, but fret not, brave adventurer, because with a little practice connecting to your World of Warcraft account will soon become as natural as breathing.

  Open the World of Warcraft application by double-clicking the shortcut icon located on your desktop. Alternatively, click "Start," "All Programs," then "World of Warcraft" from the list of installed programs that appears.

  Agree to the Terms of Service, then click "Create an Account." An internet browser window will open and you will be taken to the World of Warcraft user account website. Enter your personal information, desired user name and password into each of the appropriate fields. Follow the prompts on the next set of screens to complete setting up an user account.

  Return to the World of Warcraft application log in screen, put in your user name and password, then press "enter." The Blizzard Downloader will begin downloading any game patches required. Once the patching process is finished, you will be granted access to the game's virtual realm.
