The goal of the first chapter, "Employee of the Year," is to get bus tokens so that you can ride the bus to Rock Bottom. Serve the customer at the Krusty Krab to learn about the bus system.
Use the map to travel downtown, and go to the bus stop. Talk to Patrick, and set off for Goo Lagoon. Talk to Larry the Lobster, then use the map to travel to Grandma's house. Talk to Grandma, then go to Barg N' Mart. Talk to the cashier, then clean his car for the urchin chips. While at the store, talk to Mr. Krabs, and get the cooking oil.
Go back to Grandma's house, and use the urchin chips on the pie, then take it to Larry the Lobster and have him eat it. When he does, take his shovel and pail. Go into Ray's Tanning Salon and left to the Flying Dutchman. Dig the top left sand patch to find the bus tokens.
Go to the beach, and give Ray the cooking oil for some sunscreen. Give it to the pink fish, and she will give you her parasol. Go back to the bus stop with Patrick, give the parasol to the bus driver, and you are on your way.
In "Hitting Rock Bottom." you begin at the bus station. Go in and talk to the information woman. Go out to the right until a bathroom is visible. Go in and get flushed through the sewers, gaining a quarter. Get a kelp bar from the candy machine, then talk to a man kicking a can of kelpsi around. Take it, and go back to the information woman to give her the kelp bar.
The TV station appears on the map, so go there. Go in and talk to the woman, then go outside to the rear of the station. Talk to the repairman. Go to the restaurant and get the mug. Fill it at the bar, combine it with the kelpsi, and go back to give it to the repairman. Take the tools, go inside, and go up to talk to the weatherman. Look at his radar, then go to Marlin's hideout and talk to him. He will give you a wand to use. Go back to the weather station and open the door.
SpongeBob and Patrick end up in Bikini Bottom. Follow Patrick into the restaurant to talk to him and learn about Sandy's rocket. Talk to the waitress to get Sandy's food, and leave for Jellyfish Fields.
Find Sandy and give her the sack, then go home to get the helmet. Go to Squidward's to watch a commercial, then Sardine's for the dream glasses, and back to Squidward's to enter his dream. Find Squidward and persuade him to dance. Get the clarinet, go home, and use it to charm the snake in the helmet. Take it to Sandy's. Find the oxygen behind the picnic table.
Begin "Bottom's Up" by collecting oxygen for Sandy's rocket. Go to Oxygen Springs, and talk to the intercom. Go back and talk to Sandy. Go to the new area on the map, and click on a tree to get a coconut. Go up the path, and stand on the mat. Turn on the fountain, and look at it to fill with water. Go back to the gate, and go inside.
Go to the golden mansion, and talk to the angry man. Go to the shack, and talk to Craig. Trade coconuts, go back, and give it to the angry man. He gives you a quarter. Go to the rocket ,and look for a broken sign. Fix it, and remember the telephone number.
Go to the phone booth and call the number. Sundrie's Seafood appears on the map, so go there. Talk to the man selling stuff, then go look at Sundrie's to learn its slogan. Go back and tell it to the man to get the invitation. Go into Sundrie's, and talk to the The Maitre'd, then the jacket woman. Talk to The Maitre'd again, go to the table, order, get kicked out.
Go to the Oxygen Springs. Talk to Patrick, go to the locker room, and get the shorts for Patrick. When he leaves, use the controls for the spring. Fill the tanks, and go give them to Sandy to end the game.
To obtain the Secret Tapes:
Chapter 1: Secret videotape:
In downtown, walk to the left of Patrick. Enter the jewelry store. Talk to the person behind the counter to get the videotape.
Chapter 2: Secret videotape:
Enter the TV station. Enter the room under the stairs to the newsroom. Enter the broadcast room, and talk to Plankton. Do what he asks, then talk to him again to get the videotape.
Chapter 3: Secret videotape:
When you go into SpongeBob's house, open the closet door on the wall to the right.
Chapter 4: Secret videotape:
In Oxygen Springs, enter the building with Patrick's pants. Open the Davey Jones' Locker door to the right to find the videotape.
