How to Play TF2 Without a Keyboard

"Team Fortress 2" is a team-oriented, online first person shooter. Players take on a specialized class and then use that class's abilities to help their team fulfill objectives as defined by the server and map. While your experience will not parallel using both a keyboard and a mouse, using just the mouse is possible.

Gaming mouse with at least five buttons

  Launch "TF2."

  Click "Options" to open the "Options" menu. This window should be open to the "Keyboard" tab by default. If it isn't, click "Keyboard."

  Double-click "Move forward." Click the button on your mouse you wish to use to move forward. Because you can look around with your mouse, you can simply hold down this button to move in whatever direction you face.

  Double-click "Jump." Click the button on your mouse you wish to use to jump.

  Double-click "Fire." Click the button on your mouse you wish to use to fire your current weapon.

  Double-click "Weapon special function" and click the button on your mouse you wish to use to activate your special function. This varies by class. For example, pressing this button while you are a sniper with your sniper rifle out uses the rifle's scope.

  Double-click "Select class" and click the button on your mouse you wish to use to change your selected player class.
