How to Kill the Cow King in Diablo II

Situated near the "Corral of Corruption", the Cow King in "Diablo 2" rules over his bovine subjects. Players of "Diablo 2" try during the course of the story with ending the Cow King's reign of terror. Before attempting to kill the Cow King, players must gain access to the "Cow Level." Once there, players must use several solid game play strategies to overcome the Cow King and his horde of minions. The Cow King can only be slain once, per character, per difficulty setting.

Instructions

  Complete the in-game quest "Eve of Destruction." "Eve of Destruction" is the final quest of Act V.

  Travel to the savaged town of "Tristram." In the far left-hand corner of the map, you will find "Wirt's Corpse." Loot "Wirt's Leg" from the corpse.

  Travel to the "Rogue's Encampment" located in the first act of the game. If you do not already own one, purchase a "Tome of Town Portal" from Akara the merchant. Place at least one scroll of Town Portal into the tome.

  Open up the Horadric Cub, then place "Wirt's Leg" and the "Tome of Town Portal" within. Hit transmute to cause a red portal to "The Cow Level" to appear.

  Step into the portal. You will be assaulted immediately upon entering the "Cow Level' by many cows.

  Fight your way through the throng of cow minions, making sure to use your "area of effect" abilities, which spread destruction over a wider area, until you locate a cow that emits lightning bolts. Holding your mouse cursor over this cow will reveal it to be the legendary Cow King.

  Strike the Cow King repeatedly until he is dead. Make sure to focus on The Cow King, as his lightning bolt ability can cause great damage to your character.

  Escape "The Cow Level" by casting a town portal, or running back to the original red portal entrance.
