How to Make Ghosts Go Away in the Lavender Tower in Pokemon LeafGreen

Score more points and advance in "Pokemon LeafGreen" by defeating the ghosts in Lavender Town. Before you enter the town in this Game Boy Advance video game, you need to explore Celadon City. As you make your way through the city, go to the Game Corner and battle Team Rocket members. Players who do well here collect valuable coins and find equipment that will help make the ghosts go away later in Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town.

Instructions

    • 1

Fight a suspicious-looking person guarding a poster at the Game Corner. Press the hidden switch on the poster. Walk down the stairs leading to the basement. This leads you to the Team Rocket's hideout. Enter the spin maze on the second basement floor, "B2F." The maze tosses you about and you can pick up a Moon Stone and a TM12-Taunt.

    • 2

Head to the third basement floor, "B3F." Take the TM21-Frustration and Blackglasses. Walk down to "B4F" and battle a Team Rocket member, who has the elevator keys. Take the keys and take the elevator to "B1F." Beat more Team Rocket members. Go down the elevator to "B4F."

    • 3

Fight two guards, and then a gate opens. Meet Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket. Choose a Grass or Water-type Pokemon to beat him because he uses a level 25 Onix, a level 24 Rhyhorn and a level 29 Persian. Once you beat him, he gives you the Silph Scope, which helps you see ghosts.

    • 4

Walk to Lavender Town's Pokemon Tower. Go up the stairs. Treat the ghosts like poison rather than fighting them, which doesn't do anything. Attack ghosts with psychic, rock and ground, and they are easily defeated. Continue up the stairs.

    • 5

Heal yourself by a square on the ground near a Channeler up the stairs. Meet the ghost of a dead Marowak, who was a mother of a Cubone and was killed by a Team Rocket member, at the top of the stairs. Battle her to calm her spirits.

    • 6

Beat three more Rocket Team members on the seventh floor. They go away after you defeat them. Meet Mr. Fuji afterward, and he takes you to his house. Then he gives you the PokeFlute, which is necessary in waking the Snorlaxes later in the game.
