General Operation
Turn off the Game Boy Advance.
Remove the game cartridge from the game system, if applicable.
Insert the square-shaped, male connector of the GameShark SP into the GBA's game cartridge slot.
Insert the game cartridge into the top-mounted female slot of the GameShark SP.
Slide the switch on the GameShark SP to the "ON" position. If you wish to load the game without cheats, slide the switch to the "OFF" position, before turning on the game system.
Turn on the GBA.
Select the cheats listed on the screen you wish to enable for the game. If the GameShark SP does not automatically detect the game cartridge, scroll through the list of available games and highlight the correct title. Press the "A" button to select the installed game and load all the available cheats; press the "Right" D-pad button to view and load specific cheats.
Adding Games and Cheats
Navigate to the "New Game" option, listed on the GameShark SP main menu and press the "B" button. Enter the new game title name, using the onscreen editor options and press "Start" when finished.
Enter the cheat "Mastercode" when prompted. Press the "Start" button to add additional Mastercodes for the game, if applicable. Press the "Select" button after entering the required codes.
Select "Add New Cheat" from the menu options. Enter the cheat name and press the "Select" button.
Enter the cheat code for the new cheat description and press "Start" to finish the process.
