How to Evolve Weepinbell Into Victreebel in 'Pokemon Crystal'

Victreebel is a large Grass and Poison-type Pokemon that can be obtained only by evolving a Weepinbell in "Pokemon Crystal." A Victreebel swallows its prey whole to be dissolved by its highly acidic stomach poison. Weepinbell is not alone with its reliance on an evolutionary stone to transform into its next form, as many Pokemon need a Leaf Stone to evolve. With effective naturally learned attacks like Slam, Poison Powder and Razor Leaf, a Victreebel is a valuable member of a Pokemon trainer's team.

Instructions

- 1
  Obtain a Leaf Stone item from Bill's Grandfather on Route 25. Capture an Oddish Pokemon on Route 24 or 25, bring it inside the lone house on Route 25 and show it to Bill's Grandfather to receive a Leaf Stone.

  Open your item bag and highlight the Leaf Stone. Select the "Use" option. You will be presented with a list of the six Pokemon in your current party.

  Select Weepinbell with the Leaf Stone. It will instantly evolve into Victreebel. Other Pokemon in your party that can evolve with the Leaf Stone will be labeled with the word "Able" when the Leaf Stone is activated.
