Pokemon Silver VBA Emulator Cheats

VisualBoyAdvance (VBA) is a freeware emulator program for Windows, Linux and Mac-based computer systems that emulates the functions of the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance game systems. You can play a variety of games from these systems on your computer through VisualBoyAdvance, including "Pokemon Silver." VisualBoyAdvance includes support for the GameShark and Codebreaker cheat devices, and you can use these functions to cheat in "Pokemon Silver."
  1. Using Cheats

    • "Pokemon Silver" cheats are accessed by selecting "Cheat List" from the "Cheats" menu. Once in the "Cheat List" menu, you can create new GameShark and Codebreaker functions by clicking their respective buttons. Enter a description and the accompanying codes in the cheat creation window, then click "OK" to enter and enable the codes. You can disable and enable codes by double-clicking the codes in the "Cheat List" window or delete them by clicking the codes and pressing the "Delete" key. You can also save and load cheat lists for later use.

    Version Impact

    • Many games, including "Pokemon Silver" are released in a number of different versions. Each version differs from the others due to coding changes during localization and updates, and these changes can impact the effect a cheat code has. Codes that work with the Japanese version of "Pokemon Silver" are not likely to work with the English versions, and codes for version 1.0 will not work for version 1.1.

    Infinite Money

    • Pokemarts carry a wide variety of items, including potions, pokeballs and accessories. You earn money primarily through battling other Pokemon trainers, but you can only fight a trainer once in the beginning. Trainers can contact you for re-matches later on, but re-matches are randomized and sporadic. Enter "010F?73D5", "014274D5" and "013F75D5" as GameShark codes to set your money amount to 999,999.

    Always on Bike

    • The bike is a useful item that increases your movement speed, making travel from one location to another much faster. Unfortunately, you cannot use the bike in certain areas, such as caves and buildings, and you must travel through several caves while traveling across the world of "Pokemon Silver." You can bypass this limitation by entering "010182D6" as a GameShark code.

    0 Enemy HP

    • Set enemy Pokemon HP to 0 by entering "0100FFD0" and "010000D1" as GameShark codes. Enemy Pokemon with 0 HP will faint if you attack the Pokemon or allow it to attack, allowing you to win any battle easily. Wild Pokemon with 0 HP are also extremely easy to catch, so use a pokeball during the first round of combat to capture the Pokemon.

    Fight Specific Pokemon

    • You can select the wild Pokemon you encounter while moving through caves and grass by entering "01??EDD0" to select the species and "01??FCD0" to select the level. The "??" sections of the codes are hexadecimal values that control the code's magnitude, so "0101FCD0" will set wild Pokemon to level 1 and "0164FCD0" will set wild Pokemon to level 100. You can use these codes to capture any Pokemon in the game, including Mewtwo (96), Mew (97), Lugia (F9), Ho-oh (FA) and Celebi (FB). Enter both codes as GameShark codes.
