How to Copy a Pokemon in Pokemon Sapphire

"Pokemon Sapphire," released for Game Boy Advance, features a glitch in which players can duplicate their Pokemon. This can be accomplished at any Pokemon Center in the game. These centers are clearly marked in every town in the game. The trick involves the boxes that players can use to contain their Pokemon. Players must ignore a command from the handheld console that always appears when storing Pokemon in order to perform the glitch.

     Go to the Pokemon Center in any town. Go to the PC switch boxes.

     Place the Pokemon you wish to duplicate in a box. Remove the Pokemon back out.

     Place the Pokemon in a different empty box. Shut off the console when the screen commands you to not turn the system off.

     Turn the handheld console back on and enter your game. Remove the Pokemon and its clone from the two boxes.
