Cheat Menu

• Go into the team management menu while playing a season and select the option for "Cheat Codes." Then, enter codes to add top players to your squad. These all-star players can usually play both offense and defense.

All-Star Player Codes

• Get quarterback-strong safety Mark Haruf with the code "CIRCUITFUN". Add running back-strong safety Ryan Hunter with the code "TARGET STAR". Use the cheat "TOUCHDOWN" to obtain left end-right inside linebacker Sammy Rivera. Get center-right tackle Wayne Selby with the code "BESTBUYPWR". Use the cheat "RZONESTAR" for left guard-left outside linebacker Hal Church. Add running back-right outside linebacker Eddie Brown with the code "EBPLAYER". Recruit running back-free safety Mac Marshall by entering "BAMPLYR". Input the code "SIKPOWER" to add running back-right outside linebacker Rob Lewis. Get Sandy Sanders, a right end-left outside linebacker, with the code "SIKSTAR".

Stat Boost

• Go read the newspaper after you play a season game and enter the code "A", "B", "A", "A." This will bring up an option to raise one of your team stats by one -- offense, defense or special teams. You can repeat this trick after every game of the season to create a powerful team in the long run.

Clock Management

• Many deride this facet of this title, but you can use bad game design to your advantage. If you are ahead and playing defense at the end of the game you can sit on the clock. If you do not pick a defensive play, the entire 30-second play clock will run down for that length of time. The offense will not be penalized for delay of game, but you can kill much of the clock using this method.
