Cheats for Dogz

Dogz is a virtual pet game that is available for the Nintendo Game Boy and the DS. In the game, you choose one of three different dogs -- a Chihuahua, a terrier or a mutt. In the game, you move your dog into a virtual playpen where you can raise and take care of it. To complete the game quicker and access new dogs, there are a number of codes and strategies which you can employ.

Gameshark Cheat Codes for Chi Chi
- To use Gameshark codes in "Dogz," you must first purchase the Gameshark cartridge that is compatible with the Game Boy. The Gameshark cartridge enables you to input cheat codes which are otherwise inaccessible to those who do not own the device. The device comes with instructions and a list of codes you can input to cheat in the game of your choice. For the Gameshark codes to work on Chi Chi, a Chihuahua in "Dogz," you must have Gameshark 2.1 or higher. Type in the following codes for Chi Chi: 8047A9A0 for no hunger, 80AAD180 to get maximum happiness, 80AA1AA1 to get maximum energy and 80AA56A1 to max out affection.
Gameshark Cheats Codes for Scrappy and Chip
- You can also input Gameshark cheats for Scrappy and Chip in Dogz. For Scrappy, input 8037A9A1 for no hunger, 80AA51A1 for maximum happiness, 80AA1AA1 for maximum energy and 80AA56A1 to max out affection. To max out Chip's happiness, type 80AAD1A1, to max out his energy type 80AA9AA1 and to max out his affection type 80AA56A1.
Getting all Dogs and Unlocking New Modes
- To get all the dogs which can be accessed in Dogz, including the rarest varieties, first unlock a new dog. Next, retire the dog as soon as you get it and this will unlock another new dog. You can repeat this procedure as many times as you wish and you can continue to access new dogs, getting all the game's dogs in short order.
Other Cheats
- If you are impatient at the slow passage of time in Dogz for the DS, there is an easy way to speed up the passage of time. Walk through as many doors as you can to speed up time. With each door you pass through, time will move forward by five minutes. In addition, you can unlock the "Always Together Mode" by getting the best ending in the game.
