Easy Games
Eliminate extra bad guys and defeat boss battles faster in the hidden "Easy Mode." At the main game file selection screen, hold "Select" and choose a pipe to go down. The "Easy Mode" is automatically activated and needs to be redone each time you restart the game.
End Course
If you are trapped or worrying about dying, you can end the course and save your life. Press "Start" to pause the game mid-level. Tap the "Select" key once and you will automatically go back to the game map.
Map Reveal
Normally you can only see the world you are in at any given time. Hold down the "B" button for five seconds on the map to activate the full map and see the locations of other worlds and levels you have to play.
Demo Levels
When you first start the game, the title screen will play for five seconds and then a demo will come on. Join right in the middle of the demo with various codes. For the first world demo press "Up" and "Select." For the second world demo press "Up," "A" and "Select." For the third world demo press "Up," "B" and "Select." For the fourth world demo press "Up," "A," "B" and "Select."
Game Genie Extra Lives
Insert the Game Genie into the Game Boy and then attach the Super Mario game into the open slot. Use the following codes to start the game with extra lives. "242-41B-F7E" gives 25 extra lives. Use "492-41B-F7E" for 50 extra lives. Use "742-41B-F7E" for 75 extra lives and "992-41B-F7E" for 100 extra lives.
Game Genie Coin Values
Change the coin values from "1" to "101" with the code "01D-92E-E6A + 019-2BA-E6A." Make coins worth nothing with the code "009-22A-19A + 00D-89E-19A."
Game Genie Mushroom Codes
Make regular mushrooms turn you into Fire Mario with "034-5BC-E6E." Make regular mushrooms turn you into Bunny Mario with "024-5BC-E6E." You can only use one of these codes at a time or an error will occur.
