Preparing the GameShark SP
Insert the GameShark SP software disc in your computer. When the Auto Play prompt appears, choose to launch "SETUP.EXE." Follow on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Connect one end of the GameShark USB cable to your PC and the other end to the Game Boy Advance's link cable slot, located between the "L" and "R" shoulder buttons. Click "Next" in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" window.
Choose "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)," and click the "Next" button. Mark the check box next to the CD-ROM drive before clicking "Next" twice. Insert the software disc, and follow the instructions to install the drivers for running the software.
Disconnect your Game Boy Advance from the cable, insert "Pokemon Emerald Version," and turn on the GameShark SP. Reinsert the cable, and open the program by clicking "Start," "Programs" and selecting the GameShark SP software. Click "Internet Connection," and fill in all the details requested before clicking "OK."
Locate and select "Pokemon Emerald Version" from the "Internet Panel." Then drag and drop the cheats to the software's "GBA SP" panel.
Using the Cheats
Turn off the GameShark, and disconnect the Game Boy from the PC. Turn on the GameShark with "Pokemon Emerald Version" inserted in it. If the cheats for your game aren't automatically displayed, use the D-pad to cycle through the list until you find them. Then press "Right" on the D-pad to list the cheats.
Press "A" over the master code to turn it on; this code must be on for the others to work. Enable the "Warp to Location" code called "Birth Island." Press "Start" on your Game Boy to begin the game. The first building you enter will teleport you to Birth Island, where you can battle and catch the legendary Deoxys Pokemon. Save your game and reset the device.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2, enabling the codes and completing the same process for "Navel Island" and "Southern Island." Only enable one at a time. On Naval Island, you'll find Ho-Oh and Lugia, while Southern Island contains Latios and Latias.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 again, but enable the code to travel to whichever in-game city or town you prefer. After starting your game, you can walk through any door to travel to that location and continue playing as you normally would. You no longer need the GameShark SP inserted, unless you plan to use more codes.
