How to Figure Out the Codes in Emerald Pokemon Version

If you're playing "Pokemon Emerald Version" and want to compete in the Pokemon Contests, you will need good PokeBlocks, which are used to increase your Pokemon's stats. The best PokeBlocks include five berries that are acquired from the Berry Master's Wife, who lives on Route 123. In order to get these berries, however, you will need the correct codes. While you can use most of the required code words from the start, some of them can only be acquired by speaking with certain characters or beating the Elite Four.

Instructions

Acquiring the Code Words

  Defeat the Elite Four to acquire the code words SUPER and CONTEST.
  
  You can challenge the Elite Four--Sidney, Phoebe, Glacia and Drake--after getting through the Victory Road Dungeon. However, you should ensure that all of your Pokemon, not just one of them, are level 45 or above before you challenge the Elite Four.

  Return to your house after defeating the Elite Four and watch television downstairs. Your mother will ask you what color the Pokemon is. Your answer, "Red" or "Blue," will determine whether you encounter the Pokemon Latias or Latios.
  
  Your answer also determines which code word you will be able to use when you speak with the Berry Master's Wife.

  Mix records with a Pokemon Ruby or Pokemon Sapphire game in which you used the Eon Ticket. You will then be able to access the hidden Southern Island. Once you reach this island, you will be able to acquire the Lati, Latia or Latios that you did not acquire earlier, and thus you will also be able to use the corresponding code word.
Acquiring the Berries

  Find the Berry Master's Wife after you have acquired all of the code words. You can reach her by surfing east from Mauville and then walking a short distance.

  Use the appropriate code words to acquire your desired berry:
  
  The code words "GREAT BATTLE" unlock the Spelon Berry, which increases Cool and Beauty stats.
  
  The code words "OVERWHELMING LATIAS" unlock the Watmel Berry, which increases Smart and Cute stats.
  
  The code words "COOL LATIOS" unlock the Durin Berry, which increases Cute and Tough stats.
  
  The code words "SUPER HUSTLE" unlock the Belue Berry, which increases Tough and Cool stats.
  
  The code words "CHALLENGE CONTEST" unlock the Pamtre Berry, which increases Beauty and Smart stats.

  Feed your Pokemon the berry corresponding the attribute that you want to boost prior to entering a contest.
