How to See Munchlax on Red Rescue Team

"Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team," released for the Game Boy Advance in 2005, is not your typical Pokemon game. Instead of playing as a human looking to become the Pokemon champion, you play as a Pokemon who, together with a partner Pokemon, must navigate dungeons and complete missions. You can recruit 386 Pokemon from the "Pokemon Ruby" and "Sapphire" games. In addition, this is the first game to feature Munchlax, a new Pokemon who would later be added to "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pearl." While you cannot recruit Munchlax, you are able to receive a rare item from him: the Munch Belt.

Instructions

- 1
  Buy an apple from the Kecleon shop. This item is required to get the Munch Belt from Munchlax. The apple costs one Poke, the form of currency used in the game, at the shop.

  Travel back to Pokemon Square after every completed mission. There is a random chance after every completed mission that Munchlax will appear in Pokemon Square. This chance is very small and it may take many repeated visits before Munchlax appears.

  Follow the road east past the Kecleon shop. If Munchlax is in Pokemon Square, he appears on the road just past the large open area east of the Kecleon shop.

  Speak to Munchlax. Answer "Yes" when he asks if you have food.

  Select Apple from the list to give Munchlax the apple. In return, Munchlax gives you the Munch Belt, an item that increases your attack power but causes you to get hungry faster.
