How to Get the Bicycle in Pokemon Yellow

"Pokemon Yellow," released for the Game Boy in 1999, is an anime inspired version of "Pokemon Red" and "Blue." "Yellow" introduces many anime elements into the "Pokemon" series, such as Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny and making Pikachu the first Pokemon you receive. However, much of the game remains unchanged, such as the placement of items like the bicycle. When ridden, the bicycle allows you to move at twice your normal speed, allowing you to quickly navigate routes, towns and caves. Before you can get the bicycle, you must first receive the "Bike Voucher."

Instructions

  Travel to Vermillion City, located south of Saffron City and Cerulean City.

  Enter the house located to the northwest of the Vermillion City gym.

  Speak to the man dressed in black inside the house. At the end of his speech, he hands you a "Bike Voucher."

  Travel to Cerulean City, located directly north of Vermillion City.

  Enter the Bike Shop, located two houses west of the Poke Mart in the south section of town.

  Speak to the man behind the counter inside the Bike Shop. Your "Bike Voucher" item is automatically exchanged for a bicycle.

  Press "Start" on your Game Boy and select "Item." Select "Bicycle" from the list of items to ride your bicycle. Press the "B" button at any time to stop riding your bicycle.
