How to Get Espeon in Pokemon Gold

"Pokemon Gold" is one of the first of many games based on the well-known Pokemon franchise. It's a surprisingly deep title as far as Game Boy games are concerned, boasting more than 500 trainers, 16 earnable badges, more than 250 Pokemon to catch and many hours of game play. Espeon is not the kind of Pokemon that you simply go out and stumble across. It's an evolved Pokemon, which means it takes a skilled caretaker providing consistent treatment to transform another monster into the form of Espeon.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to the underground city of Goldenrod. Pick up the coin case lying on the floor.

    • 2

Visit one of the casinos. There is a casino in Goldenrod, and another one in Celadon City. The Celadon casino isn't accessible at the beginning of the game.

    • 3

Play the slot machines until you win 6,666 coins. Use these coins to purchase the Eevee Pokemon from Celadon City.

    • 4

Spend time training Eevee during the day and treat the Pokemon well. Give it items to hold on to, use it in successful battles, avoid letting it become weakened and use it as often as possible. Do not trade Eevee -- let it pass out, be defeated in battle or put it in a box.

    • 5

Take Eevee to Goldenrod City every time it needs a haircut.

    • 6

Have Eevee play with Blue's sister between the hours of 4 and 5 p.m.

    • 7

Continue to care for Eevee properly and consistently and, when it's happy enough, it will evolve into an Espeon Pokemon.
