How to Get to the Mermaid Statue in Zelda

Trading is serious business in ̶0;The Legend of Zelda: Link̵7;s Awakening.̶1; To get the magnifying glass, you must navigate through a long series of exchanges that ends with earning a mermaid scale. You insert this scale into a mermaid statue, which reveals the hiding place of the magnifying glass. It is impossible to earn the magnifying glass, however, if you don̵7;t know how to reach the mermaid statue.

Instructions

     Travel southeast of Catfish̵7;s Maw until you reach a wooden bridge. You will have traded with a fisherman at this bridge earlier in the game.

     Journey just south of the bridge until you reach a small expanse of water.

   • 3

     Use your hookshot tool to travel across the water and reach the mermaid statue.
