Games: How to Solve the Ruin Puzzle in Pokemon Gold

In addition to the main storyline quest of becoming the best Pokemon trainer in "Pokemon Gold," you must solve puzzles required to advance the story to the next part. For example, the Ruins of Alph require you to solve four sliding puzzles, each of which show a picture of a Pokemon once completed properly. Solving this puzzle is the same as solving any sliding puzzle.

Instructions

- 1
  Load your previously saved game of "Pokemon Gold."

  Play through the game until you complete the Violet City Gym. This event occurs naturally in the game and cannot be missed.

  Head west, and then south from Violet City to enter the Ruins of Alph.
- 4
  Slide each of the puzzle pieces one by one. You can only move a piece adjacent to the active piece. The first puzzle shows an image of a Kabuto. The second puzzle displays an Aerodactyl. The third puzzle displays an Omanyte. The fourth puzzle displays a Ho-Oh.
